CommandSim Incident Command Training (ICT) is an instructional medium and evaluation tool, utilizing state of the art high fidelity interactive simulations and immersive training to produce measurable results, meeting or exceeding Local, State, and Federal mandates, emphasizing Risk Management and Resource Management.

This performance based educational program has a proven track record for success in evaluating candidates for promotional opportunities, training and developing future officers, and provides current officers with continuing educational skills/training.

This ICS class follows the National Incident Management System (NIMS) guidelines for Fire and Emergency Medical Personnel. The class includes training materials, simulations, and a special 30-day license to CommandSim Department Edition online. The materials can further be customized to your first-due area.

Objective

Credential candidates in three levels of competency:

  1. Company Officer (Lieutenants and Captains)
  2. Battalion/District Chief (Command Officers)
  3. Executive Officer (Chief Officers)

Course Delivery

This is a 2 day (16 hours) course custom designed to meet your department’s schedule utilizing “hands on” interactive scenarios created by CommandSim.  Our program is geared to accommodate the different shift schedules utilized by departments. Contact us to discuss this type of course schedules.

Standards

The curriculum meets standards set forth by:

  • National Incident Management System (NIMS)
  • Incident Command System (ICS)
  • OSHA Regulations – Fire Service related
  • SOP’s/SOG’s – Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • NFPA 1500 – Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program.
  • NFPA 1521 – Standard for Fire Department Safety Officer.
  • NFPA 1561 – Standard on Emergency Service Incident Management System.
  • NFPA 1710 – Standard for the Organization and Deployment of Fire Suppression Operations and Special Operations to the Public by Career Fire Departments.

  • Safety, Communications
  • Command and Control
  • Fireground Tactics and Strategies
  • NIMS/ICS compliancy
  • Implementation (local SOP’s/SOG’s)
